all about me!

hello hello!!! my name is Alex, Zan, or Zanothy! Use whatever you'd like! I'm a 20 year old artist and animator from good ol' Canada! I've started here on neocities in 2025 but I have had other sites a little older than this one that I tried to experiment with, but ultimately failed and got demotivated... so now I have this one :)!

I mostly started this website and learned HTML because I wanted my own little space to share the things I like and to have a free outlet for myself. Modern social media is always filled with a whole lot of censorship and what-not and its a bit tiring QoQ!

I have always been a lover of the indie web and have always wanted to make my own space so now I got this little trash heap in the corner of the internet. How cool! I want to learn more advanced stuff like basic JavaScript but I've been struggling a little bit... but thats okay, we all start somewhere dont we?

Im really bad at smooth, clean segues, so i guess some little facts about me would be fun... I'm a lover of loud music and have been to over 15 concerts! Ive seen pretty big names like Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Lamb of God, Billy Talent, Deftones, System of a Down... I could go on for way too long, haha...

I also am the proud owner of 2 cats! I've got a silly orange girl named Joey, she was my first cat I got with my father and she currently lives over there at the moment. My second is a big fat grey girl named Pixie! She lives with me and my mother currently and she is my absolute pride and joy. She's extremely loud and LOVES all the attention she can get, I love her so much.

Last little fact about me before I get into more nitty-gritty stuff is that I was put into an animation meme cringe compilation back in 2017. The video is actually still up to this day and has over 130k views... It did a number to my mental health as a young kiddo on the internet, but as an adult I think its the funniest shit ever.

who i am...

Honestly? I dunno! I feel like I am constantly changing and shifting as a person and I think thats pretty cool.

For the most part, I am very masc presenting. I use He/Him pronouns (And on occasion, They/Them or It/Its, but I dont really tell people that so they dont focus on them too much.) I like being a man and presenting masculine to the general public!

I'm also disabled, so I usually spend most of my time at my PC because it hurts to do much else unfortunately. I suffer with a consistent chronic pain that makes it agonizing to do any sort of movement for a long period of time (mostly walking, running, bending over, reaching up high, sometimes even holding something small in my hand like a pencil) but I am all powerful so I prevail anyways >:D
